The Amazing Laura Roberts...

Hey, everyone!
It has been a very long time since I have blogged, and even though I should be writing about something that I have written, I am here, shouting from the internet rooftops about Laura Roberts!
She is a wonderful writer, and I am pleased to say that she has put out yet another great book.
The links are below, but first... a question and answer session!

Here's Laura.....
Laura Roberts

Here you go: 1. What's the oddest question you've been asked by someone in the Indie world?

I've been asked a lot of odd questions, usually by people who read my sex column, but as far as indie author questions go I think the weirdest question I've received was "What's a PDF?" Granted, this was a few years ago, before every author was giving away free PDF copies of their books as incentives for signing up to their mailing list, but I was still pretty boggled by meeting someone who had never even heard of this really common file format that's been around since 1993. It was kind of like meeting someone asking "What's the Internet?" and NOT being in a time-travel movie.

2. What's next on the agenda?

Having released "Confessions of a 3-Day Novelist" as part one in my Indie Confessions series, I'm now starting book two, "Confessions of an Indie Editor," which will teach people how to self-edit their 3-day novels, and will also include tips for finding and hiring professional editors. I'm also working on my NaNoWriMo tips book, "A Cheater's Guide to NaNoWriMo," which I'm hoping to have finished by the end of November. I'm blogging this book as I go over at http://cheatersguidetonanowrimo.wordpress.com, in case you want to follow my progress on that.

3. Now that NANOWRIMO is going on, have you ever published something that you've written during the month of November?

Yes, I have! But, as I mention in "A Cheater's Guide to NaNoWriMo," it was something I cheated on. I finished writing Naked Montreal, parts one and two, during NaNoWriMo 2012 and published them both in 2013. But I haven't revisited my previous NaNoWriMo novels that "won" based on word count, since they're total messes. I do still like some of the concepts I came up with in "World's Craziest Ninja," though, so I may try to rewrite that one eventually. Otherwise, I'll just say it's a proto-"Ninjas of the 512."

4. How do you like your eggs?

UNFERTILIZED! Oh, wait, did you mean the kind I usually have for breakfast? I do love eggs, in many different varieties. Probably my favorite way is my husband's take on huevos rancheros, which involves scrambling eggs, then melting some nice sharp cheddar on top and serving them with salsa, sour cream and guacamole. He will also occasionally mix in some black beans, yum.

5. World domination or World peace?

I'm all for domination if I get to be the one in charge. And dominatrix is a job I have not yet dabbled in, though it's on my To Do list. I could deal with being Queen of the World. I would certainly outlaw war, though, so in essence it'd be both domination AND world peace at the same time. BLAMMO. Did I just blow your mind?
